Hayat & Co. was established in 1998, with the intention to provide members of the public with accurate, helpful and appropriate legal advice to safeguard and protect their individual rights.
At Hayat & Co. we strive to ensure that that every client receives reliable, up-to-date and specialist legal advice on which they can safely and confidently rely. That every client should have the fullest assurance that their acting solicitor is fully aware of the circumstances of their case, before giving advice or providing assistance.
Hayat & Co. endeavour to ensure that at all times, when acting for a client they have the client’s best interests at heart.
Hayat & Co. seek to provide every client their full commitment and a reassurance to deal with their case with their utmost level of professionalism, integrity, skill and care.
At Hayat & Co. we are aware, and recognise the need to provide clients with affordable yet highly skilled legal services.
Our approach is to handle a client’s matter with as much importance, as we would if was our very own matter. Fees are, and will always remain, a secondary consideration at Hayat & Co.’s in pursuit of achieving fairness and justice.
The principal solicitor at Hayat & Co. is Mr Amar Hayat who has over 20 years specialist experience in various areas of law, predominately and extensively Human Rights law, including all aspects of Immigration & British Nationality Law. Mr Hayat will personally accept initial instructions from a client and is prepared to fight a client’s case all the way to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, where circumstances either require, or justify it. In the pursuit of seeking justice Hayat & Co. will provide extensive pro bono assistance, expending a great deal of their own time in the process.
Since inception Hayat & Co. has been considered by many organisations including various charitable organisations (such as the Refugee Council unaccompanied minors unit, Migrant Helpline, a number of Church and religious bodies, various homeless organisations, domestic abuse bodies) and including at various times departments of the Immigration Service, as being an ethical, reputable and diligent firm.
As a result, countless organisations over the years have entrusted Hayat & Co. and referred the most vulnerable and destitute individuals who were in need of very urgent help. Often, we would assist clients without funding or remuneration, and in some cases sought urgent relief before the Courts during emergency hours, where the need arose, to avid them sleeping on e streets or at being at risk generally.
Statistically, Hayat & Co. have enjoyed unparalleled success since 1998 in immigration and human rights cases, often battling every single vulnerable client’s cause to the point of success. This is based on our genuine concern to protect those most vulnerable and in need justice.
Hayat & Co.’s efforts and vigilance within Human Rights and Immigration Law has directly, or indirectly caused various changes such as in immigration practise and procedure.
Hayat & Co. welcomes instructions in challenging and complex cases which other firms may not be willing to undertake either due to cost or other reasons, particularly where the interests of justice are concerned.
Hayat & Co.’s primary concern is to see the law develop in a fair, equal and progressive way for all concerned.
Human Rights, Immigration law and practises have both changed and evolved considerably since 1998. Prior to 2000 it was an area of law and practice that was largely neglected and therefore ignored. Around this time, many practitioners, as is well documented, sought financial gain, partly in our view due to poor and ineffective regulatory monitoring, rather than the need to treat clients correctly and ethically.
Regrettably, such failings were identified far too late and not before countless individuals, who often and in some cases remain unaware they they suffered poor levels of service, and in many cases catastrophic and irreversible consequences for them, and their families. It is these individuals Hayat & Co. is keen to identify and represent in order to correct what should have occurred . Such individuals, often, do not fully or properly appreciate that they were victims. Hayat & Co. encourages individuals, to not hesitate in seeking reliable and specialist advice and where necessary a qualified and skilled reassessment of their case.
Hayat and Co. have extensive experience in almost every type of Human Rights, Immigration, Asylum and Nationality case including at all levels of court proceedings from First-Tier Tribunals to the European Court of Human Rights.
